Farm Animal Exposure Amendment

We are inviting anyone in one or more of the following groups to join the study before September 24, 2025:

Routine exposure to Farm Animals (such as Chicken, Cattle, Goat, Sheep, Pig) due to your lifestyle OR occupation.

Examples of eligible participants:
  • Farm Workers
  • Chicken Catchers
  • Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, or Animal Care Professionals
  • Employees in Meat Packing or Food Industry
  • Other professions/activities in close contact with wild or domestic animals (e.g., Hunting, Animal Rescue, Hobby Farms)
As a participant, you would be asked to:
  • Review and sign the study’s Informed Consent Form
  • Complete 1 Electronic Questionnaire once you are enrolled into the study
  • Collect and mail a Dried Blood Spot Sample (finger prick) a total of 5 times over the course of 10 months
  • Collect and mail a Saliva Sample a total of 5 times over the course of 10 months

Participants will be compensated with a gift card (choice of St. Hubert or Swiss Chalet) at the time of enrollment and upon sending their final sample.
